I like your avatar. To bad the company making all those Lego video games couldn't give us a Minimate inspired Star Trek video game!

Love the Captains Chair, but it does all look a little futuristic. That is fine with me but the traditionalists out there may not like it. Overall I'm massively impressed with what I've seen. Cant wait for the trailer.

I'm going to be the first one in line to see it.

Yeah the "There is only one Kirk" people are NEVER going to be happy.

Apparently Kirk doesn't wear gold and the black is the Captains Uniform according to the articles. I'd be a bit bummed out if thats the case. But Quinto looks awesome!

There is a Q&A w/ Damon Lindelof (sp?) on one of the picture sites that the black is just one of Kirk's alternate uniforms. The gold is worn at some point in the movie.

Yeah, by the look of the pic where Kirk is leaving the pod in the snow it looks like it may be some kind of away outfit thing? Like he takes off the gold for a mission or something. I think all those pics are sort of related, since Kirk looks beat up in both the crew and bridge shots but he's not beat up yet in the snow scene.

I just read the Entertainment Weekly story online and apparently Kirk is in the black for most of the movie and it is a cadet uniform. EW got to screen a few scenes apparently and said the first appearance of "old" Spock is a wow moment and the chemistry between Pine and Quinto is great.

POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING!

If I remember reading the AICN footage review correctly, they mentioned something about Starfleet not being real happy with Kirk's 'solution' to the Kobayashi Maru. When everyone else gets assignments, his name doesn't get called. So maybe he's still being tested throughout the film and he's not granted his gold shirt until after he's finished this mission?

I'm loving the speculating!

The bridge looks very TMP/TFF. Not sure I'm a fan, but I'll forgo final judgement until I see the full bridge pictured.

I love the cool new retro-inspired costumes, but the bridge just looks so very, very wrong to me. Anyway, I just hope it's a good movie.

I like the bridge. It connects better with the modern Treks. When you compare TOS to the other parts of the franchise, it just looks out of place. TOS doesn't even match up well with the classic movies, design-wise. The production design of the new movie allows the TOS era to look like a natural part of the evolution of the Star Trek universe. We'll see how the movie as a whole fits into the mythos, but the production design looks good at least.

I agree with knightone. The bridge and the technology is looking like an evolution of the NX01 and that looks great to me. It's futuristic but still looks a bit bulky.

But they've remained very true to the original as well, For example, Kirks chair is black leather with white arms, just as it was in the Original series.
