I was just pondering how to get Kruge. Again...I don't care about Maltz so much...but Kruge was excellent and I think might sell IF he were a deluxe figure with Klingon Bridge Chair. What do we think? Of course, the targ would be included as well. smile.gif

I don't care about the targ, but I'd buy Kruge any way he was released. a Klingon Commander's chair would be quite cool. I wouldn't let Kruge sit in it though, only Martok.

That's a great idea! I would love a Klingon chair. Release it at the same time with a TWOK or TUC chair as well so we have a Kirk in movie chair to match it.

I would buy Kruge with a Klingon command chair....but I agree....Martok would get the chair once it arrived!

I'd buy a Kruge if the following happened:

DST sculpted an entirely new body for him based on screen shots and reference material

He was a stand alone piece with a chair and a Targ.

and he and the diorama base was painted to perfection with some great detail added too - similar to AA's Enterprise line.

And if i could see him in the shop before i commit to buying due to DST's poor QC.

I wonder if many of these figures don't sell because of their cheapness - there ok for people who collect entire sets but many people don't collect it all and just pick and choose the figures they like. There's nothing special about Kruge or Maltz apart from the head and Kruge's gown. It's a Worf figure.

As with all DST Trek- if they produce it, I will buy it. smile.gif Though my breaking point will probably be the new two-pack reissues. Those will probably be the first releases I will skip on.

I don't think that the two-pack re-releases are truly meant for the dedicated fans of the AA/DST lines who have been with it since the beginning. Although I'm sure they know some completists will buy them out of necessity, I think the main reason to do them is to capitalize on fans of the new movie who have re-awakened their interest in Star Trek and may not have been aware of the line yet. I hope it does the job and they build enough new interest to warrant a few more risks on 24th Century characters.

Package the chair with Kirk from Trek IV as the stolen Klingon ship? wink.gif

Do the same with Spock in Klingon Chair from Trek V! Have a voice chip saying " Captain , not in front of the Klingons."

Maybe the chair could come with an interchangeable audio chip...so new characters, Klingon or otherwise, can use the chair and say things unique to them. Similar to the Playmates Simpson's toys.

Didn't they mention briefly at the start of ST IV that they'd had to re-design the bridge. I may be wrong, long time since I watched The Voyage Home.

Man, I'd love to see this hit the light of day . I think what we should do is start a letter writing campaign to see it . It would make sense for them to release a Kruge/Targ/Chair pack with the upcoming release of a Klingon ship next year . Even without a sound chip it'd make an awesome display piece any warrior would be proud to have !
