I just took a look at BBTS.. they report 6 sets of the wave left in stock, so it looks like these are going to sell through this holiday season.

Is that the type of news Chuck was hoping for to get the next set going?

If it does, Next set better be Chapel/Rand....if DST slip in a Kirk/Sulu/random wave I may have to take action. Like Arnie in Commando action. laugh.gif

I dunno, I could go for at least one more Kirk. Give him the correct shirt piece instead of the McCoy one, toss on the new head, and give him a removable phaser belt. I think the very next wave should be Kirk-free, though. Preferably all-villains.

Hey, it's happened before! The, uh... Mirror, Mirror wave didn't have a Kirk, and none of the TNG or DS9 waves had him. tongue.gif

I think they are watching those two pack too...

currently their stock shows the following...

Star Trek: The Original Series - Romulan Kirk & Spock Two-Pack 16
Star Trek: The Original Series - Captain Kirk Vs. Gorn Two-Pack 3
Star Trek: The Original Series - Pilot Episode Kirk & Spock Two-Pack 14

Now we know these had a run of only 1701 (spread across all outlets) so this doesn't seem to be allot for BBTS... of course some of the regular re-issued TOS 2-packs (which are on clearance) are at pretty low numbers right now too...

I guess I'm most surprised that the Gorn has the lowest number, I passed on that one, but I guess if you missed it the 1st time around youd want to get it!

Hey all,

This is good news. Does that mean we can look forward to more? How about:-

Short sleve McCoy with Chapel
Rand plus a new Kirk (maybe a re-issue of the recent Wave 5 one?)
Yellow uniformed Uhura plus some random Spock?

Take care,
Matty-lad

Actually, I forgot about a 1st appearance Uhura! That seems like a no brainer. Had they offered that for the Uhura two pack instead of a re-release of the red one, I'd have bought the two pack just for that!

If and when DST get's back into the action figure making market, I'm sure if we see command yellow Uhura, it most likely will be a short packed exclusive figure. It's a simple color adjustment. Uhura is a popular enough character. I can see them making it.

I think I am playing the part of RIp Van Winkle here, have I woken up from a long sleep and action figures back on the horizon for sure or is it wishful speculation?

I think this would be a good idea - a simple repaint to add scratches to his face and job done.

First off...I would LOVE a Kirk-Free Wave...but...in order to get the "old wave five" figures out, these seem like the best two packs.

Short Sleeve McCoy/Salt vampire
Chapel/Ruk
Rand/Enemy Within Kirk (New sculpt with scratches or ANOTHER new sculpt with Crazy-Kirk face)

Oh, and if they want to sneak in a Guinan/Tasha, Quark/Morn, and a Borg Queen/Seven of Nine...that'd be fine too.

Glad to hear that the sales of these figures SEEM to be pretty good. I wonder what it would take to convince them to take the figure line out of mothballs...

I don't mind how many Kirks they make...as long as the next two James T's come with Chapel & Rand figures!

Scratched face Kirk with Rand has always seemed a good suggestion.

Ofcourse I would prefer shirtless Kirk with Rand.

A scratched , crazy face Kirk does seem like a good idea. But if all else fails one of the customisers who gets ahold of an extra KHAAAAN Kirk head could always do a head swap. Sure the face may be older, but it could work in a pinch. Then just build the desk and the crushed computer monitor.
