Bandai recently announced a Perfect Grade 1/72 scale model kit of the Millenium Falcon.

Based on the video there may even be some internal detailing.

Saw this on Kotaku the other day, forgot to post it. Makes me wish Bandai would start making Star Trek kits again.

I'd kill for another run of Trek ships, even if it were just the same ones. I'd buy them all.

Another video showing thof actual model, its gorgeous.

I may look into this more once more details are released.

If that's pre-painted like the Trek kits, then that is seriously stunning.

It'd be much more tempting if it was completely painted, and I'd seriously consider purchasing it if it is. The Gundam perfect grade kits come with colored parts, so it should at least have that like their normal Star Wars kits.

If it does come fully detailed, and it's cheaper than the QMx cutaway, I'd definitely consider getting this instead.

I will be picking one of these up. It won't be prepainted as nothing released by Bandai has been for their Star Wars model ship line. But it will include a very nice lighting kit.
I will be doing the assembly heavy lifting, putting together the kit in subassemblies. I will then ship it to one of the pro-builders that I know for final assembly and paint. I may request a custom base as well. We'll see.
This Falcon is the first of its kind. It is the first accurate recreation of the 60" model built for Star Wars (A New Hope). It is also the first Falcon model to require absolutely no modification for the sake of accuracy. She will be perfect straight out of the box. Even the 1/72 Fine Molds Falcon was innacurate from the 32" stunt model from The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

It truly is a masterpiece. CultTVMan's got the best deal right now. It's $339.99+s/h. He does require a $150 deposit, though.
I love that she's included with a lighting kit and a photoetch set!
