I don't know if anyone here actually plays STO or not, but they announced their next expansion today which takes place in the TOS era.

I'm hoping that there are alternate 23rd century ships that you'll be bale to get for free in-game as you level, which is what you get on current characters. 

 

In the article it mentions invading forces intent on destroying the Federations future, which is probably the Na'kuhl who seem to be the current baddies in the game, and are starting their crusade to mess with the timeline.

 

I'm very intrigued by the future ships that look like the Enterprise J, and wonder if at some point Cryptic will release its model as a purchasable ship.  I imagine at the end of the 23rd century story-line you get recruited as a temporal agent and brought into the current 25th century story.

That expansion looks cool. I played for a hot second but haven't been a fan of gaming on a computer for a long time. I might get into it now that it is coming out on Xbox One!
