Ive always wanted Q in judges robes seated from the scene in Encounter at Farpoint. Id love to see Macfarlane do this as a 10 scale figure. Im really surprised DST never did this one as a Select. I am also hopeful for the figures 1701D mentioned.

Yes. We got a bit robbed on DS9 and VOY... But towards the end DST was just rating to flesh out bridge crews for fans, which ultimately you got for everything but VOY.

The last 16 seem to be. (Though some might argue they're not true Star Trek characters. )

Jesus 1701. Just a couple then, eh?

I want all the captains for sure, full crews would be nice but I dont know if I want to invest that much.

Im losing the collecting bug, and I dont know how I feel about that. Cancelled more preorders lately than actually bought stuff.

it's funny i keep on seeing full crew but you know we will never get what we want. TOS & TNG where the only figs that got a full crew. not even DS9 got a full crew we never did get that Nog fig or a kira in Bajoran uniform so i would not say we got a full ds9 crew. No Voyager and the Enterprise we got was a mix so not a full bridge set of figs.

I'm losing it too.  It would definitely be nice to replace *all* of the AA/DST figures in my stash with more modern McFarlane versions, and then augment them with even more.  But, I wouldn't want to part with any until McFarlane did in fact replace them all, and I don't really have much room left to keep both sets in the interim.

I hope these figures are easy to get.  If they are difficult, or there are chase figures, or they're sold in weird outlets like Walgreens who can't manage distribution, then I might not have the patience for it.

I’ll probably end up getting Kirk and Picard to see what they’re like, and am really hoping Picard is close to DST’s scale so I can use their captains chair.

What did DST's scale end up being? I know they were shooting for 7" when Art Asylum started Enterprise but there was a shrinkage issue with TOS figures. As I recall they gave the sculptor a production figure as reference instead of simply saying, "Kirk should be this tall."

I'm hoping the digital sculpting makes it easier to keep the entire line consistent.

Haha damn 8472!

Id just like a comprehensive collection of great Star Trek action figures. From TOS to Enterprise and I'd like for McFarlane to appreciate that there are fans out there who dont just want TOS and TNG figures.

I mean look at Eaglemoss. Theres no reason McFarlane cant be as engaged with the fans as Eaglemoss has been and do the heroes but also the really obscure characters too.

DST's Marvel Select / Star Trek Select are at or around 7" some like the T.O.S can be smaller.

sorry 1701D i had to call you out on that but all in good fun.

if McFarlane can make a fig in scale (7") with the Trek i have i and it has the detail i am looking for i would pick them up.

I think that pretty much every company that tried claiming they were 7", or 6" scale, has ended up violating the rules intentionally or accidentally enough times that it now no longer conveys any accurate meaning to say something is one or the other.

As far as the DST figures go, TNG and onward were definitely large enough to call 7".

I would prefer the MacFarlanes to be a little smaller than that, then they would pair better with Star Wars Black Series so-called 6", the other property I have the most figures of.  (Not to mention, I could store more of them...)

Ok... I'll fess up... I got bored and didn't make it to the end of that list!!!

I dunno about the Klingons... while necessary for the story... I'm still not feeling the new vibe.

Considering how Discovery is not a family friendly show, that drastically limits the market for figures which usually sell the best when marketed to children. The Mego line in the 70's and the Playmates line in the 90's were a success because of the appeal of Star Trek shows to families, especially kids. Discovery figures would no doubt be a collector only type of thing.
