I have always been a HUGE fan of Eddie VanHalen but I would never want to meet him in person. I am sure that I would be let down.

I think it all depends on the star and his/her upbringing. For example I attended a personal autograph signing for the WWF probably about 1994. We were taken to a private skybox and got to meet Ted Dibiase and the late great Owen Hart. The Million Dollar Man simply sat at a table and talked with his friends while still signing autographs...not really making any true contact with the fans. Owen on the other hand was very outgoing and was one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. Nobody wants to deal with loons but the loons are usually the ones who pay the paychecks.
