(410) 560-7100 , this is DST's main number, when the operator answers ask to be connected to Chris .

And if you want I can dig through my inbox and find you his email address as well , that's where I've had the most luck in my communications with him .

Do people feel that DST doesn't really know what to do with Star Trek anymore??? I dunno the vibe i got from Chuck with this latest Q&A was one of confusion as to why these products were being cancelled and a feeling that they didn't really know what to do beyond re-releasing what AA did and waiting to see how that sold?

Call me wrong but i don't see this with any other company doing just as specialist items as Star Trek. It's a shame because there are some cool characters throughout Trek's 43 year history and i just don't feel DST are doing enough. I've actually stopped buying them because i just don't see any future beyond re-releases and re-used bodies. I've just switched to Hot Toys because whilst it's impossible to get a load of them - they are cool and they sit on my desk very well - i collect sideshow toys too and i dunno i just think DST could benefit from doing the higher end collectable rather than trying to get the entire crew out - sure fans would be pissed but i think more fans will appreciate the fact that we'd be getting perhaps more than just different versions of Kirk and Spock.

I feel like it's the chicken or the egg...the won't mass-produce unless there is a pre-order...we won't pre-order unless we know it'll be there. It's honestly getting very frustrating. I don't want to invest in so many Kirk/Spock releases just for the chance to get a Quark or Tasha Yar. I am getting very frustrated. Anyone have any idea how we can help?

What we need to do is assail DST and Chuck on Mass every day with e-mails and phone calls until he takes the hint. There is demand for these products and the method that they use to judge whether there is or isn't is jokingly unreliable. mad.gif

but is there enough demand for these product? will DST and Chuck instantly change their minds because of a few (in the grand scheme of things) lets be honest, fans on this message board.

What we've got to accept is that TNG, DS9, VOY and ENT plus the 10 original movies are really not new enough or as iconic as the original series enough to support several waves, even one wave of action figures - if fans are there for those series and film - which is a definite - i don't really think many would want to buy action figures.

I've said it once before here, but i really think DST should scrap their figure line, many people have all the crews from either Playmates, Art Asylum or DST. I don't but i don't really care - i have the original TOS figures from AA and there fine but i think what collectors want, certainly what i want are quality pieces that stand out on their shelves or desks at work and not dozens of 7 inch figures.

Star Trek isn't Marvel, the spin-off series from Star Trek have been and gone and whilst there might be fans of each of them, the one the majority of people will remember and want to buy merchandise of, is TOS.

I think rather than overflowing Chucks inbox with letters of disappointment on how they've not done DS9 or Voyager any credit - isn't going to be productive - if anything is to happen you should keep suggesting to DST that their is love for these series but admittedly not enough love for several waves of figures... So here's some suggestions:

Carry on with producing 7 inch TOS characters - branching away from Kirk and Spock into more recognizable but secondary characters such has Harry Mudd, Koloth, Mugato and the like... expand the TOS universe into the classic films too.

Ships from TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise - Ships in Star Trek have always been popular with fans and general sci-fi fans too. These would sell

exclusive high end collectables from the contemporary Star Trek series (TNG - ENT) - stand alone figures (perhaps 12 inches in scale) including unique LED display stand and exclusive accessories. Producing perhaps 2/3 a year and having one exclusive to SDCC. All the figures MUST be unique sculpts if a scale smaller than 12 inches is to be used.

Focus on Aliens of Star Trek: Romulans, Klingons, Borg - do high end figures of those species - make them interesting for collectors to collect, advertise them in a big way and they will sell.

With the figures as they are at the moment, they just don't cut it - compared to other figures of DST's class, DST's Star Trek figures are dull, boring, less than collectable and look more like toys than action figures sold in specialist comic book shops - this will need to change if they want to entice people back into collecting Star Trek.

Prop replicas in much the same style as DST have been doing prop replicas.

MOST IMPORTANTLY THOUGH..... ADVERTISE IT ALL in a way that will get Science Fiction fans attention and not just Trekkies attentions. really push the TNG brand as something exciting to buy into. I mean seven of nine is going to sell too but you have to promote her!!!!

What is perhaps a trick DST are missing is collectable items such as the AA coins and trading cards so perhaps doing something like that will urge collectors to collect entire waves - however, if the Borg wave is being canned then i think really that the 7inch figures are dead.

My message to this e-mail address bounced. Who else can I talk to e-mail at DST about a defective product? I have tried numerous times to e-mail dst customer service. They do not respond.

Their Q&A always direct people to E-mail customer service. It's maddening they don't have decent CS skills.

This is my issue.
