Dear members,

Please don't turn this into a political statement on current events, since that's not the point of this thread. I just wanted to take the time out and remind everyone about today, Memorial Day. As most of you who know me are aware, I'm not a very political person, especially in the forums. But I am a very supportive of our military, having served in the Armed Forces myself. So I know the importance of something as minimal as a letter from home. I am just asking everyone take 5 minutes out of your day and remember the soldiers, past, present and future and the sacrifices they've made to keep things free.

Definately agree with that. I would like to wish them all a safe and speedy return.

Regardless of my feelings for the reason for a soldier's deployment, I still respect and applaud those who serve this country...or any national force in the name of freedom, justice and honor.

Absolutely...we have your equivalent of Memorial Day in November...but the sentiment is the same.

As a former Military man myself, i highly respect our uniformed servicemen and appreciate their service to our country and efforts to liberate oppressed folks from other countries.
