I hope the final product looks better than that or i will definitely pass on it. I have the first one, so i am not that crazy about buying a new one anyways.

Hmmm....maybe its the paint job on the head and the fact that theyve still got the same size hands as the original locutus (as they look a bit out of proportion) that puts me off slightly.

Ill wait and see the actual product before i make a decision for sure.

Artist interpretation? Im sure there is a rubber FC Locutus suit that Stewart wore floating around out there that they really could have used for this figure to be better. The top looks like FC style....the lower half looks like its (my favorite word today) re-used. I think Im just cranky today.

Hmm. I think the super dark eyebrows and coal black eyes are what is throwing this one off so much for me. Hope the actual product is more accurate.

I don't like the face/head sculpt on this one at all, but probably will have to get it to complete the borg alcove. They said this the final figure for the second wave but have they said what all four are?

I like the face better than the first one they did. But like usual I will try and reserve final judgment until I see a better pic. DST seem to have a little trouble with thier promo pics. Also dont forget that the early protos are hand painted so that is also a factor. It says that it is a digital scan of Pactrick Stewart so I am betting that there is a prety decent likeness under the paint.

I actually quite like it. It's not a bad representation of FC Locutus.

Maybe its the angle the photo of the prototype has been taken or just the way its posed but the head just looks smaller than it should.

I think wave two is Borg Queen, FC Locutus, the Klingon drone iirc that was shown last year at a toy show and most likely a version of Seven in one of her multi colored outfits or of her partially de-assimilated from The Gift.

Too bad no Janeway, Tuvok or Torres drones.

I will get it but its not one that I am highly anticipating. There is something wrong with the head especially since it was scanned. Scanning is difficult because it also requires the right use of paint on the face to make it look right. Just ask any collector of WWE Divas on how a scan can go horribly wrong.

The Nemesis Picard by AA was made from a scan as well, but the paint job they did on it obscured a lot of the detail. I remember a customizer/painter over on the AA forum sometime ago did a repaint of one of those Nemesis Picards and brought out all of the detail and it looked so lifelike it was freaky. This Locutus doesnt look that good from the pic we have seen so far, maybe if they get it painted right, it will look better.

It's not bad, if a little unnecessary... I would've preferred an Admiral Janeway, 29th Century Drone or Hugh, but Locutus doesn't look too bad. I'll wait until better pics come out to fully judge it, but I'll probably buy it regardless.

Why don't they make a fully-assimilated version of him with the borg stuff completely around his eye???!!!
Like this: http://scienceblogs....cutusOfBorg.jpg
That would be the best way to differentiate it from their previous version.
