I've secured me an TRU Exclusive TMP 2-pack and having the "standard" version of the 2-pack already,
I thought I'll use the double Spock (when he arrives) to make an Scotty...

So far, thats what his head looks like now:

I'll post some pictures of the complete figure, when the body arrives... wink.gif

I think TWOK head might be a bit too large and give him a "melon-head" look. I think your decision to go with a classic scotty head just aged a bit is a good call and it looks great by the way.

I was actually leaning towards the classic heads for Sulu and Chekov too. I just think they might fit better.

Awesome! I was wondeing if TOS head would be a better fit for TMP and it looks really good so far. I'm not sure about Chekov and Sulu; I was just going to try TWOK heads because I don't have TOS heads. Are they so very different?

As an aside, my Admiral Kirk's right arm is too loose and keeps popping out of its socket. Is there a quick fix to improve the fit?

I will have to try this out with the TWOK heads since I don't have the TOS originals and I don't think the reissues are going to be available in the UK.

I was also thinking of trying to conjure up a TMP CPO Rand using Captain Beverly Crusher (I thought her hairstyle was broadly similar). I don't have Beverly yet but I was wondering if those that do think this would be doable. Another possibility is repainting Troi's body but her head is a bit too bouffant to Janice. Can anybody offer any advice or suggest another more suitable head?

To tighten up that piece you. If you have a hot glue gun you can heat it up and squeeze some glue into the arm cavity where the pin goes. You also want to put some vaseline on the pin that is in the shoulder pieces before you put the glue into the arm cavity. Place the arm onto the pin and move it around a bit. Your essentially recreating the arm cavity joint and making it fit to the size of the pin in the shoulder. You have to work fast though since the glue will harden very very fast. It will probably be completely solidified in about 10 seconds or so, so you may want to try some "trial runs" just planning it out before you actually do it. If you have any questions just let me know.
