Thanks for the replies on the different DST 1701-Ds. But to add clarity, the first version came out in 2009, then a 2012 version, and now a 2015 version?
It seems there's yet another production run in progress, as Entertainment Earth shows it available in August 2015. Wonder whether it will be any different?
I got my DST robot. It's great. The flashing lights on the DST version are far superior compared to Trendmasters. I'd like to see DST do a chrome version, similar to the limited edition that Trendmasters did. Also, still want a DST Jupiter II.
Anyone know how the currently available DST 1701-D compares to the first version (i.e., the version with the interconnecting dorsal decal omission/error)?
I'm interested and ordering one as soon as EE gets them back in stock. I heard from another reviewer that some elements of the Trendmasters mold was used, but the DST mid-section was larger. A new Jupiter II toy from DST would be awesome!!
