Has anyone here seen the newest episode of Star Trek Continues? It was screened at Salt Lake Comic Con last night, and Kickstarter backers were provided with an early link, too.

I must say that I was (again, after ep. 6) a little bit disappointed. The episode was rather anti-climactic and seemed too constructed around the topic they wanted to discuss. It did have a few very nice moments, though, especially that tender moment between Scotty and Uhura in engineering, foreshadowing their relationship in STV.

Very pedestrian story. McCoy got maybe a line during the whole show. In fact I was wondering if he was going to even be on it.

Oh and DS I made a burke chair in PM scale. Back is not that good. Will try again

I was a little torn on this one. I think even in the TOS era sexism would be completely ellimated and irrelevant. In that way the episode was a little unbelievable. However I know STC likes to make episodes in the way that they would have been made had there been a 4th and 5th season immediately following. This totally feels like something that would have been made back then and in that way it works beautifully. I guess I would have rather seen them take on something else as this story is a little ordinary at this point in time. Still a great episode though. I loved the sets and the scenes depicted out the windows.

Star Trek Continues just announced that their final 4 episodes will be released in the course of the year, and they will be in the same format (meaning 45-50 minutes long) as the previous installments. Can't wait to see episode 8 in April.
