Got my two today, looks pretty nice, it appears they have the same hands but the rest of the body looks different, I was worried DST might try to reuse more parts than that.

One very surprising thing is that it's much better than Picard's set as it has his full name and rank. So instead of:
---CAPT. PICARD---
with Command Chair

Riker gets:
-----Commander----
---WILLIAM RIKER---
with Command Chair

Picard's already-disappointing packaging looks even more lackluster when you put Riker's box beside it.

Overall, I like this set quite a bit, I think I'll have to open it right now!

What a beautiful figure.. I got mine yesterday! Also, nice to see DST took more care with Riker and put plastic between him & the chair so there's no paint rub-off! Not that I cared for him coming with the chair (his own would have been wonderful), but it's a solid effort all around.

Only got the 1 chair right now as my chair that came with Picard was defective and I returned it to DST, but these make for some nice shots!

DST ... you rock! This is one beauty of a figure! He is almost perfect and I hope that there is enough interest to get us some new S1 figures.

lol, the first picture with Picard sitting looks as tho he's had too much to drink, Riker's just standing there as if Picard's always sloshed before he engages

Thanks for the pics, Gothneo. They look great! (and I love the one of them holding hands, that's hilarious) I'll have to add Riker to the list of "things to buy when I have money again".

Riker really does look fantastic.

I've always had a preference for the first season uniforms, for some reason. These two figures are getting me all nostalgic. I hope that we eventually see the rest of the cast rounded out. Especially with the 20 year anniversary of TNG having been so recent.

I feel that since they've given us season 1 Picard and Riker, they are now obligated to finish the season 1 crew. biggrin.gif

Shouldn't be too hard for them & would be cheaper than...well, most other choices (Times Arrow, Robin Hood, Dixon Hill, 19th Century uniforms, casual attires etc).

They could also do the DS9 uniform TNG characters...which was only the men from memory, besides Worf perhaps. But that doesn't interest me much.

I would love to see the cosmic cheerleader Troi, but I'd say the regular outfit would be more likely as it's close to the casual attire in design. I prefer the bun look anyway for S1 Troi.

Worf would need a new head, as would Wesley IMO. Beverly & Troi would just need new hair. Data & Geordi should be fine as is. Tasha could use the Beverly body...definately not Troi's!!!
