If I remember correctly, the Amazon description said "with episode specific sounds..."

Which I took to mean, sounds/phrases directly from TwT...

I was searching for Playmates STXI role play stuff. Found none went to a music store called the Sound Shop they also sell action figures etc. Right there was Jim boy in his chair so I snatched it up!

Great piece though the voice is a bit slowed down. He sounds like he got stunned like Crater in The Man Trap!

I'm thinking of buying the electronic Kirk Chair, and was wondering if anyone had any issues with it. I think someone mentioned having a problem with it in an "Ask DST Q & A" session a few months ago, but I don't remember what it was specifically. I've gone through this thread and it seems most of the feedback on it has been positive. I just wanted to make sure everyone unanimously agress that it's a good item and find out if that one person complaining in the Q & A was a minority opinion. Also, if anyone has one by itself without Kirk that they're willing to sell, I'm interested. I know that sort of offer is supposed to be in another area of the forum, but I didn't want to start two threads about it, so I just posted about it here.

the problem i had with it was that the eyebrows were too far up his forehead and that the chair was poorly constructed so i did eventually sell it on. If you get one, make sure you really check it out in the store so that you get the best one.

The eyebrows and insignia seem a little high and for some reason he's wearing an Art Asylum TOS tunic - i didn't notice it at first but looking at them both - they share the same rubber tunic.

I don't mind the eyebrows on my Kirk w/chair, and once I put fresh batteries in the chair it worked fine for me...the only problem I had with the figure is that it's almost impossible to get him to stand up straight if you want to display him without the chair.

Are there multiple buttons that can be pressed on the electronic chair for different phrases? I saw one in a store, but with it still boxed I could only press one button (the big blue one) and every time I pressed it, the only phrase that came out was, "This is Captain James T. Kirk, U.S.S Enterprise". I heard there are other phrases, but didn't hear any. Is there another button to press for those, or was the set I saw just faulty?

It was in "try me" mode in the package. Regular mode should have a button on each side that cycles through different sounds and phrases.

I am gutting one and using the sound in my homemade Kirk Chair. It's hard to get the sounds alone for the cost of the entire chair with a figure.

Dont you have an alarm that goes off in your house if a package is actually OPENED on a Star Trek collectible?
