Hey all!

I'm pretty excited about this and wanted to share the news here...

At the Creation Entertainment Official Star Trek Convention taking place in Nashville, TN from July 29-31, I will be hosting a discussion panel on Classic Star Trek Collectibles! The presentation will cover the history of collectibles produced on the classic show, focusing on the main merchandise available throughout Trek's 45 year life. While the focus will mainly be on the toys, we'll also take a look at the comics, trading cards, and some other popular items that were available to Star Trek fans during each decade. The panel will also offer a peek at some of the unproduced items that never made it out to the public! And if you get involved in the Q & A portion of the discussion, you'll have a chance to take home some sweet Trek collectible prizes!

So if you are planning on coming out to the show, PLEASE come by the panel and check it out! It's tentatively scheduled for Saturday, but that may change as we get closer to the convention dates.

It would be awesome to meet some fellow Trek Toy posters there, so please come by the panel if you'll be at the show! For more details, check the post at my blog here:

Hope to see ya there!

Would love to go, but have to work. I have put off going to a Star Trek convention for too long. The last one i went to was in 1988, when i met Mark Lenard. I would love to go and meet Leonard Nimoy at a Con sometime.

VF, I'm in las Vegas as I write this and Nimoy took the stage yesterday afternoon and announced that would be his last convention in las Vegas.

He's decided this is is last go around and I think the chicago appearance will be it sad.gif

He was originally slated to go to dragon con in a few weeks (in Atlanta) and that probably would have been the last regional opportunity for us in nc, but I was sadly disappointed to see he had to cancel that one for some reason.

Anyhow, it was wonderful to hear him speak one last time, and it was a bit emotional at the con as I'm sure you could understand!
