Revell is about to release in the States a second version of the T-70, new style, X-Wing kit..... This new T-70 kit is more accurate (A true model kit) in that it has more detail, and the correct proportions compared to their toy like first release.

This kit is much bigger at 1/48 scale .... I ordered mine early from the UK and its on its way with expedited shipping. I got the standard version and not Poe's black special version as I felt I could do more with the paint on the standard version.

The kit should be here any day now ...I will keep you guys posted.... As soon as I'm done with Alteran's 1701-C I will be starting the T-70.

I swear .... I think I'm running a marathon building spree..... But hey, I LOVE it !!!

I'm looking forward to seeing this, I'll probably be getting the larger prepainted one when it's released.

Alteran..... That's the one I bought..... But I had to get it from the UK because Im neurotic and can't patiently wait until early November for the US release date LOL. Even though it is prepainted Im going to overhaul it and attempt to make it look like the one parked in the desert for that ad JJ did standing next to it..... I love the way its so weathered !!!

Well the T70 X-Wing arrived yesterday and I was just blown away how nice Revell designed the kit and detailed it..... I have been working quite a bit on it (I'm about 10 hours in on it) and its almost done... I'm going to post pictures shortly.

It's an easy build but I'm fully painting it so it's not that simple.... The color scheme out of the box is very basic.... Just bright white and blue....

Here is one of the main reference photos I used ...... I actually like the really tattered look !!

Just a quick before and after image also !!     4T5OYsR.jpg As you can see.....The paint job was VERY basic and stark in contrast.

JMW.... Don't be confused by the Level 1 kits that are in stores now..... This is the Level 2 kit that has only been released ( I think) in Europe and the UK.
The Level 1 is more of a toy with lights and sound.

JMW.... The Level 2 kits are supposed to be released in the states the very end of October/ beginning of November.....  I have seen both kits and the Level 2 is superior in my opinion.

Will do. I also have a Bandai 1/48 Moving Edition X-wing fighter that's going on a custom Death Star base, the Falcon and 1/72 Bandai T-70 X-wing accompanied by the Bandai T-65 X-wing. Because as Fez from That 70's Show once said, "They look so nice together."
