I think it was a normal size run. I think a small part is that it does not look like what people remember it looking like, but what the real prop really does look like. You can see them clearly in the photo above. I think that group of people want idealized not a real replica.

Well as I have pointed out that would not be a replica and they're called Master Replicas. The ones in ST VI (except for a few from ST V that did not "walk off") were made up by prop master Ed Miarecki and they were not black either. They were painted with a very dark metallic gray for the most part with the handle area being black. This one's mine that I picked up from Ed.
