A few weeks ago I picked up the TWOK phaser and haven't put it down since. However, it is not without it's flaws - specifically the paint, holo-tape and trigger. I sought to rectify these faults with my latest build.

Thanks for looking. cool.gif

nicely done! I was planning to do something similar, but the trigger was pondering point for me... how did modify that part so that it's still functional?

I found mine at JoAnn fabrics.

I found the trigger at Radio shack, it's a momentary contact switch. It's pretty obvious that (or something similar) is what they used on the actual prop. Behind the trigger is board with a rubber contact switch, all I did was first drill out the molded button on the trigger. I then took the button off the RS momentary contact switch, cut the needle off of a push pin and glued the push pin to the back of the contact switch and a piece of thick half-round styrene on the top and sides of the switch to prevent it from falling out. That simple! Good luck with your build, I'm quite pleased with mine; I think it really does improve the phaser's already good looks.
