Great to see you're doing good. Everyone here was very concerned.

it would have emotionally destroyed me if I had been banned but would have been totally understandable if I had been. I just want to sort the two members out that have paid me but not received their models. After that.........we'll see.

I have a suggestion. I really hope he is okay and just busy or unable to reply right now, If not however and if there is still an unfinished kit maybe it would be good for someone to recast it so that this kit can live on for others who may not have been able to get one. I know recasting is a controversial subject and I think it should only be done as a last resort. A lot of work went into this, I know if I had created something like this I would want it to continue to be available.

I am still alive!!!! I have had a lung and heart transplant and my expected life expectancy is anywhere between 3 to 12 years. My absolute apologies to the two people that have paid for their models and not received them. I said on this very forum that they would be re-sent and six hours later, I collapsed and, (briefly,)died....
I mean to make the very best of the time left to me and I will honour the purchases that have been made. They WILL ship this week and tracking numbers will be sent to both people - can you please give me your email addresses so that you can receive direct shipping updates.

OMFG!!!!!!!! Seriously!!??? What took you so long to say anything? I will get another one out to you right away! Give me a couple of days, Bud And it will be en route. If the other one arrives as well, keep it. I cant believe you havent recieved it! Everyone else did.
I feel at this juncture that I should mention, that I have an ongoing problem with pancreatic cancer so I may go off grid for periods of time but rest a ssured, I would NEVER rip anyone off.

This will hopefully be a fully articulated action figure, including the head, in scale with all the other AA/DST range, with removable Head and shoulders with spine.

Finally back on this project and making some long overdue progress! The whole front section is pretty much complete now except for the "crimped tubing" effect which I do in Milliput.

The disc section has been a bit of a challenge to say the least but I am happy to see it completed. Lots of detail to be taken care of.

The side panels will be equally detailed

Heres one for sizing with a figure.

I am really pleased with how this is coming together so far. More soon!

I have to say that of all the items that have been announced and then cancelled over recent years, most of them were indeed beautifully crafted and I would climb over hot coals to get at them but I am also a realist in that this awesome community only represents a scratch on the tip of the iceberg of the worldwide market. The Mayweather helm is a prime example of this. DST know what their market will be for an item Before it is put into production; they HAVE to know or they would have gone to the wall years ago. Yes, it is sad that it never made it into the stores, along with the Borg alcove sets, and a Voyager Crew, or a yeoman Rand etc, but hats off to them for at least exploring these avenues and sharing the dream with us. I don't look at it that they are giving us something and then taking it away again; I interpret it as, " look guys, we'd love to be doing this and this and this. Here's a mock up - what do you think?" How can they guage the potential market if they can't bounce potential lines off of us for feedback? At least they are exploring these avenues and sharing those ideas with us. In short, no matter how awesome a potential line is, and even if a hundred members here said, "Ooh! Yes please!!!'
A hundred sales would not be nearly enough. The spirit of "this would be cool to make" is what it is all about but ultimately a business thrives on sales. Again, My thanks to DST for making the things they do and at least sharing the concepts of what they can't.

Thanks, John. The panels are printed but the centre screen on this one is an actual working screen. Here's a link to a video so you can see it in action. I have already converted T'pol's station screen as well and that just leaves Reed's to do.......plus all the ones on the back walls. Oh and the plotting table.......oh bugger.....

Well, after nearly two years, I can finally bring the curtain down on this build. it's been a rocky road but I got there in the end!
Here are the pics of the finished piece.

Just so everyone is aware, I have changed the deal somewhat. The price remains at $100 US plus shipping but I will now be constructing all the models and painting them for no extra cost, unless asked otherwise. Hope you enjoyed the thread and I look forward to your comments/critiques!

Hi everyone! Now that the Mayweather helm project is all but wrapped up, I thought it would be cool to dabble in something different. So, as with the above mentioned build, DST/AA got our juices flowing with promises of wonderful Borg queen, Seven of Nine figures etc, and alcoves to display them on. Sadly it never happened. I am simply looking to build three alcoves on which to display my Klingon, Hirogen and Cardassian Borgs. They will be internally illuminated and the green plasma screen things will also function.
Here's the start I have made.

I have finally managed to get some finishing paint on. Here is how it looks.

There are a few tiny finishing parts to cast and fit but on the whole it is finally ready. If you are still up for one of these in kit form, please P.M. Me. I am not holding anyone to the list we made as I understand how people's circumstances can and have in fact changed.

Okay so here is where I am. Just the podium to finish off and we are there! I have a coat of grey primer on the model now and I have mixed the green/bronze colour to spray on top.

I never set out to sell this piece, just to build it to complete my set. I have no experience of building to sell and I have, at times, Been overwhelmed by this project. Now, however, I Iook at this and I can't believe that I made this. No computers, no 3D printers and no injection moulds etc. Just my craft knife and my rule! I'm happy with how this is coming together and I know that this is going to make a lot of people happy.
