I think 'The Wrath of Khan' belongs to the TMP(The Motion Picture) era. Maybe DST calls it the TOS movie era(haven't heard that before actually).

TOS and TMP are the same thing, its movies with the TOS cast.

Federation movie ships that are not from TOS movies:

Generations
Farragut (Nebula class - I'd love this), and (as far as I'm aware) unnamed Miranda class, and and Oberth class.

 

First Contact
Thunderchild (Akira class), Budapest (Norway), Appalachia (Steamrunner), and Yeager (Sabre) - all of these I'd absolutely love, but would they really make any of these before the Defiant and Voyager? Speaking of the Defiant, that could also fit into this list, as could a Nebula class ship.

Dark horse in this could be the Phoenix, but it's not a Federation ship...

Type 11 shuttle, scoutship and Holoship.

Nemesis
None except the Enterprise.

None of those would make sense to be made before Voyager, Defiant, or even Reliant. I know Zach said it would make some people mad, but most of those would make a lot of people mad if they're made before Voyager or Defiant.

It would be interesting if thats how they market the Defiant.

At this point i really dont even care...i am getting more and more tired with the same speculations over and over. And all the backwards clues that we get. It really is getting old. I have to agree with a lot of the people on here and i am getting more and more interested in the Eaglemoss stuff and less and less interested in DST just because of all the waiting and waiting on announcements. I'd rather know and have delays then have them hint at something for 8 months and not tell us what the hell it is.

It's odd that DST even play the wait game. They may say that the reason they wait is down to not knowing when they'll get a finished product out but surely just a cgi render of the ship with the words "coming 2016" would be fine, at least it would build interest rather than staying quiet and doing the opposite of building interest.

I'll tell you a funny fact about that Lieutenant. The guy that played him was a *very* young Adam Scott, who later played in Step Brothers, Parks & Recreation (a huge Trek fan on the show) and several other movies. Mind = Blown when I read that lol.

Don't be too hard on DST. It might not even be their fault. It's not unusual to bend to licensor demands, waiting for their approval prior to releasing details or showing prototypes.

I still think the next Fed ship is the JJprise. It's not TOS movie era, it's definitely not some obscure ship from the TNG movies.

DST releasing a Nebula class ship before the Reliant, Enterprise C or Voyager would be... tragic.

I'd prefer the TOS shuttlecraft Galileo to a Nebula class vessel.

EDIT: I'd prefer DST do a Galileo before the JJprise, for that matter.
