#94862 I Guess I Should Reintroduce Myself...

Posted by TheHSBR on 17 September 2018 - 04:32 PM

So its been a while since I've visited these parts.  I left a few years back after it seemed like the DST series of action figures dried up.  I had a bunch of other stuff going on as well which included reigniting one of the oldest roller coaster websites on the internet.  Five years later and tons of work and that site has established itself as one of the go to places for roller coaster news online and on YouTube.  So the roller coaster season just happens to be winding down and in the mail I get two new fantastic pieces of plastic made by McFarlane Toys.  In addition, DST announces fully articulated 2009 Trek figures!  Obviously I couldn't just sit back and open the figures and stay silent.  I had the need to give my opinion on them, just like I did so many moons ago.  So in short, I hope to be around more often and hope to produce some good reviews again of the action figures. I missed talking Trek with you all and look forward to the discussions!!

Hey ladies and gents, I know I havent been around at all in recent years, but I stepped away from collecting to focus on other stuff.  The McFarlane line and recent DST announcements have brought me back!  I was able to snag the new Kirk & Picard and did a little video review (kind of like the old days but now on YouTube!!)  Hopefully you give it a watch and companies keep making Trek action figures so I can keep making more reviews!!

#79314 New York City Toy Fair 2015 Discussion Thread

Im actually most excited for the Reaction figures.  An almost full bridge crew and a gorn/orion slave girl.  Even though I havent jumped on the kenner retro wave we see now, these just look too good to pass up!

As for the DST offerings, nothing really piques my fancy.  Never got into the Tek and both ships are big passes for me especially at that price point.  I gave up "buying to support the line" after the Borg wave was cancelled.  A D7 would have been an automatic buy for me (and would have been my first Trek DST purchase in years).  Hopefully we see that down the road.

Heres my WIP pic.  They both still need a lot of work.  One Im going to make into Sato or T'Pol and the other into one of the Orions onboard Enterprise.
