Really glad to hear that the Star Trek minimates are finally coming out at last. I am really stoked about the things DST are putting out this year, i hope they dont get delayed like the TNG waves are.

While I am happy to hear that Trek Minimates are finally coming, I think I'll pass on them. Or atlease until I see what they look like. This hobby is getting a little to expensive. If I only collected Trek maybe but with all the others stuff I collect (Stargate, Lost, Transformers Alternators, etc...) I would have to spring for a new house just to get more room. ;D

I have to agree with that. I need to start being a little more picky about my collecting. Although I love minimates I think I will have to stick to the Marvel and Dc versions and just collect Trek in 6",7",8" (whatever size they are now)format.

That's why I stick to Trek. I would hope they were 3" I do care at all for the 2".

I sincerely doubt they will be 3".

DST love the 2", to the point they tried to talk DCD out of using the larger bodies on some of the DC mates.

I hope they're 2" so they fit in with all my Marvel and DC 'Mates.

This could be fun! I haven't collected mini-mates yet, but with the right characters this could definitely get me on board!

There is a picture posted in the new Radical Confidential. They will be 2" and the first wave will be Pike, Vina, Kirk, Spock, Scotty, McCoy, and limited dress uniform McCoy.

They do look pretty cool. I guess the deciding factor for me will be price and availability.

I am surprised at the line up. I thought that I had read somewhere that they were going to do TNG first instead of TOS becuase TOS had been done in the 3" scale already.

They look cute.

Hopefully we get Uhura, Sulu, Chapel, Chekov & a few more aliens in wave 2.

I, too, was hoping for TNG, since it will be pretty easy for them to make anyone in this format (since it is paint apps & not sculpt that will change up the uniforms), no matter what season they were from (Tasha & Pulaski!).

Woh, they are really nice looking little fellas.

Vina is pretty sexy....looks very much like my Marvel New X-men Jean Grey Minimate:

I didn't buy any of the original AA versions, I thought I'd hold off & see if they completed the crew, which they didn't manage. So I may wait till series 2 hits, then I'll get into them.

I think the minimates look neat! Glad to see more than just the same ones that were made in the 3" scale, like a Scotty, Vina and Pike. They dont show the Limited Dress uniform McCoy minimate, but im sure its neat too. Guess that points to getting other Dress uniform crew members down the road too. I have all of the 3" minmates , carded and tubed, and i plan to get all of the 2" versions too. I like the differences in the Kirk, Spock and McCoy minimates, makes a distinction between the two scales too. Hope we get a lot more of them eventually. TOS Movie minimates would be cool too.

I guess these are what separates the men from the boys in the figure collecting world, these do not appeal to me at all as does the rest of TOS lines, I personally would not collect these.
