I was asked this again by way of Pm today and so I thought that I would post something about it so that I might answer everyone that wondered about it. The question was, " why does the front page of the forum show only 493 members but if you check the last sign up, it shows way more, something like 4,865?"

The forum only has 493 members however, the last member that signed up is member number 4,865 The reason for the difference is that when someone joins the forum, they are given the next number by the signup program. However, if you delete someone it does not reset and drop the member number down. What has happened here is that over the last 3 years there have been 4,856 people try to join the forum but they have to go through the final step of Admin review and when traced, the IP address of, oh it looks like 4363 people, they came up as some type of spammer trying to start an account.
