They do seem to like doing busts but I hope it is ships or ...well... anything but busts.

^Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. It seems to be that the busts are the "next in line" item for DST. Although Ships would be the next item in line after that but I can't imagine them doing many "Trektek" type items. I mean, how many actual gadgets can they do? The Zat, the GDO, and maybe the Atlatnis hand held PADD item are about the only things in the scale that DST has done (I can't imagine them doing a Jaffa staff).

They could also do Daniels glasses, an ancient scroll, goa'uld or asgard crystals, jacks sunglasses, the little ball grenade thing that the jaffa have. I am pretty sure there are some other things too.

^Haha...I don't think I'd dish out any money for "Daniel's Glasses" or "Jack's Sunglasses" myself when you can already get them generically speaking at what I'm sure would be much cheaper prices (these items were NOT specially created just for this series/character. They're pretty much simple stock items)

I'd be very happy if DST released Jack's sunglasses. I have been searching for an exact pair for over two years now...
The Asgard crystals would be cool.

I'm thinking it's Minimates, which seems to be one of their more successful lines wink.gif

Find a friend in the military (preferably the army) or check your military surplus stores. If that fails ask your local sporting goods or industrial supply store for a catalogue of safety glasses.

Accoriding to the front page of DST's site the new line is going to be 12" cloth uniformed figures. I am not excited or disapointed by this. I may get one depending on how the finished product turns out but I just dont know if I want to start a new scale of figures. They take up so much room.

That's pretty disappointing. They haven't even got all the main characters out for either show and already they're making another figure line?

Granted, 12" should be highly interesting due to all the soldier accessory sets out there for the GI Joe and Ultimate Soldier lines, but can you imagine how expensive these will be, and how long it would take just to get the full team out?

I just read this... It's not what I hoped it would be and I'm a little disappointed. I mean... minimates would have been better then this. I was really hoping for ships. Needless to day I will not be picking these up.

I'm a 12" collector so I'm excited, but if they are done like G.I.Joe 12" figures, I'd be disappointed. It would be nice if a company like Hot Toys does them, but they'd be about $100 each though.

I'm a 1/6 scale collector like Nighthawk, so yeah these have possibilities.

These days, with 1/6 scale figures a company needs to get details into the product that you just can't get into the smaller scale, and that's what sells it for me.

I expect more detailed sculpts and paint applications, details to the uniforms and really cool detailed accessories.

If they can deliver this for around $65-$75 per figure they will have a hit on their hands. If they go the cheap route, and give us basic figures in fatigues and no accessories. The price point needs to be around $30. I'd spend the extra money to get the res of the right gear and kit bash them the way they should look, but I hope they ante up and do some cool stuff.

Teal'c could have a limited variant with him in his Jaffa Serpentine outfit and a retractible head piece! I'd pay >$100 for that!

So the devil is in the details for this line, and I hope they get it right because if they do, I'd get rid of all my 6" figures and just keep the 1/6 scale figures!
