Has anyone here heard of a new company- Well Played Toys ? They are developing a line of toys in both 6 inch and 3 3/4 inch figures for the Netflix- Lost in Space series. They refer back to Playmates Toys and Star Trek as examples of what they are hoping to accomplish. From what has been shown so far, I feel they could probably do a great job on Star Trek as well. So far though their concentration is on building a name for themselves with their current project as it should be.

I'd argue Playmates had its chance back in 2009

The 2009 line was a huge disappointment... at least to me it was.

Shame about McFarlane.  Those first two figures were...okay.  Just wish they hadnt chosen Kirk/Picard.  I already have a bunch of those characters.

This is where I'm at with a number of properties... I have plenty of Kirk & Picards... and like you say the McFarlane products were good... but not something that was so stellar I wanted to purchase them to replace my DST product...

I do Like my AA/DST crews... I just wish I had more... like VOY and maybe reissues of ENT.... Golly... DST could have sold me at least four of the same 7 of 9 figure in different color cat suites!

Oh Well... it will never be at this point.

I somewhat agree that Playmates 2009 attempt was their time to shine. Everything they did with that line was a complete 180 degree turn from what they are known for. The articulation was ugly and even more useless than the old 90s V-crotch and yes I do still have nightmares about the 6 inch Kirk on the Cob figure. I would forgive it all though for a continuation of a 90s style line with slightly updated articulation and an inclusion of figures that were left out the first time around. Weyoun, Moogie, Captain Archers Crew, etc!

Thank you for bringing that up! I've never heard of them and they're located a few miles from me. Hard to believe they've been around six years and have been flying under my radar.

Anyways, I'm guessing Toy Fair is just going to be maybe two more Funko Discovery pops, eaglemosss online models and past release badges from QMX.....

God I really hope there is something new and exciting from DST and McFarlane though.

Id like something new and exciting from QMx too.

Some new badges would be nice, like the TOS Movie era ones that were with the red uniforms.

Love to see some more mini masters, love Locutus, Worf, and Seven.

Or ships, always like ships. Something with lights like their larger Planet Express ship that was ~$80 would be amazing.

Picard and Data 8" Mego figures will be shown at ToyFair.
I like the QMX TOS 12" figures. I recently got the Spock reissue. It's pretty awesome.

I'm a sad tribble. Double dumbass on you, DST and McFarlane! And don't tell us retail isn't interested when you don't show them anything to find out!

I guess with the ongoing Coronavirus situation, the factories in China will fall way behind schedule, including the ones responsible for DST products. So no Enterprise-C this year and with huge amounts of luck maybe next year.

I had a feeling something like that would happen.  Did Eaglemoss have a showing?
