Have a look at this, about halfway down:

Sorry if I sound confusing, but I meant I have Tom Riker and Sisko. I found them (along with Kirk, Barclay, and Kruge) in a lot of 40 figures on eBay, I didnt see them till I had a second look amidst the carnage of Yellow, Red and Blue uniformed figures. I, like you, had been after him for awhile, I didnt think I would ever get him. Its such great fun looking for them, and I kind of dread the day when I run out of them to buy.

Hey,

The best thing about running out of figures to buy is that you can start getting duplicates for customs. I'm up to about 50 now and still trying to do more.

Take care,
Matty-lad

Thanks, I've already started doing customs, I'm up too about fifteen, with 39 "in production" so to speak. I guess I'll need to start making the 1000+ crew of the Enterprise D at this rate. Filled out a few more holes in my collection after getting the last of the Target Starfleet Command Wave I needed, and the last Spock I needed.

Well, after a brief hiatus I've started collecting again, and have started to fill the holes in my collection. I finished my Kirk collection with Skydiving Kirk, finished my Mirror universe collection with Mirror Kira, and got my last Data, the S1/S2 uniform. I've now got 31 left! I can remember getting my first one back in 2012, seems like yesterday.

Hey all,

Well for me, I was lucky enough to pick up most of the Playmates stuff when it came out. Living in the UK, it was difficult to get some of the rarer, exclusives etc but luckily i had an excellent local comic shop that helped to get most of it. To this day, all I'm missing is the 1701 Picard, Use, Tri Fold Borg (all of which i can do without because they are duplicates) and my holy frail, the Vulcan Leader statue..... One day.

Take care,
Matty-lad

Hey all,

Sorry to bump up an old thread but I jut had to tell people...... I've managed to track down the Vulcan Leader statue. Won it last night on eBay and only paid £21 plus £8 postage.

You cannot believe how much of a smile I have had since winning...... Especially at that price.

Take care,

Matty-lad

Sweet - sounds like an amazing find dude - congratulations.  If you manage to take some nice shots, would you mind if I included them on my website?  It does after all, count as quite the rarity.

Nice statue. I met the actor who played the Vulcan Leader in First Contact at the Las Vagas Star Trek Con in 2007. Nice guy. He said when filming the scene he kept smiling when he said "Live Long and Prosper." so they had to do more takes. The take that made it into the film you can still see the slightest hint of a smile.

I've actually been buying a lot of Playmates figures over the last year. I bought most of my collection during the original release of the toys in the '90s, so while I have been filling in some gaps the real focus had been on custom figures. Eventually I'm hoping to put together a website or at least a blog to showcase all the customs I'm working on.
