I was in shock tonight when someone posted this on another board I visit. Sure enough, Gateworld has a story on it.

The show just wasnt the same after he left. He really did a great job in his role and added a lot to the richness of the story. He will be missed.

That is very Sad news. I loved him on Stargate and he always added a little something to every role he played. He will be missed.

I never thought SG1 was quite as good after Davis left the show. He will be missed.

I did not know about this till I heard Amanda tapping / Samantha Carter on sgu call the Phoenix the George Hammond.

ya that was cool that they did that he was a big part of the show. as soon as Carter said the George Hammond i knew he was gone..
