As everyone knows, there are no Dr. McCoy or Chekov figures in just the Starfleet uniforms. I'd like to make a couple of customs with a spare Spock and Sulu (possibly even a red-shirt Chekov with a spare Scotty) figure, but, I've never attempted to make a custom figure before.

 

How easy do the heads pop off these figures? Do they snap back in easily or is glue/cement required? For Chekov, do the rank braids scrape off easily? Is paint required?

The heads pop off very easy and swap onto the other bodies with no trouble(or glue needed). Just pull them straight out of the neck hole. I made a few myself. The paint for the ranks comes off relatively easy with a fine grain sandpaper. Since the plastic is molded the color of the shirt you don't need to paint them over.

I went through and don't seem to have as much as I thought I did. I must have gotten rid of some stuff a while back. Anywho. Here is what I have left as far as stuff for customizing.
