Right about 8:14 am Pacific time yesterday, after Lima Company marched back to base at Camp Pendleton from The Crucible, each recruit was awarded the Eagle Globe and Anchor from their DI's. Although the formal graduation is not until next Friday, my son is now Pvt Williams, a Marine!!!

I had been little reading on what goes on at Marine Corp bootcamp until my son left. Since then I have read everything that I could find and watched everything that I could find. All I can say is WOW. I'm very proud of my son, as you can tell.

Interests:OMG!! Clearly my hobby is getting away from me at the moment if anyone remembers the pics of my collection on the old AA forum. While mine isn't as focused as Mark's, it's start to rival his, lol. Long answer short, too many to narrow down.

AWESOME NEWS!! Congratulations to your son and make sure that he takes advantage of all of the military schools he can. I'm not sure what his MOS is, but it will help him make rank much faster. Best of luck to him, enjoy your time together.
