Kirks waist does not rotate. It is like the one from the amok time 2 pack.

Ah:( I was afraid of that:( Oh well. if that's my only nit I'll be ok.

Cool, glad they got released. I'll have to try to get these. Did I hear correctly, these won't be in stores (like TRU)?

Its good to see that DST are perhaps ending their figure range on a high note, Kirk looks great (maybe his eye are a bit far apart?) and I love th Romulan - It's a bit of a bugger that this Kirk has a hard torso and all the other TOS figures apart from the Amok Time 2 pack has the rubber shirts - it would have been nice had they kept the rubber - perhaps though they may re-re-release the TOS crew with a hard torso!

more importantly, can he sit? Whenever rubber green shirt kirk sits, the shirt gets pinched slighly on his right hip, so I'm curious if he can fully sit or not. It would be a shame if you couldn't put him in a captain's chair.

I am glad they got rid of those horrible rubber shirts. Here is hoping they do them all over again with sculpted torso's I will get every one to replace all of the rubber shirts. Oh and FYI. When they are standing next to each other you cant tell.

Hey Chimp. I will have to test that out. I didn't even think about it last night.

Mine are supposed to arrive tomorrow!

I'm very excited for this wave as it has all kinds of possibilities!

I've already started prep'ing my TMP body that I want to use a scotty head for, and I think I'll re-do my Red shirt Khan Custom as the T&T one I used originally has the wrong insignia!

I might have to see if I can give one of my Kirks a Waist POA too...

I think the other scotty will go for a Pilot Episode Scotty!

I never understood why they didn't have hard torso's on the re-released 2 packs? seems odd... I absolutely LOVE that Romulan figure. Kirk I'm still undecided about - gonna have to see that in person before I make a decision and the Scotty figure - the 2-pack Scotty was identical with a white handled phaser so no need to get it again.

This is the best Kirk IMO, but sadly mine's right shoulder is very loose.

The Romulan is great, and makes me long for the upcoming Romulan Kirk, and hope someday we will see the Commander.

Scotty is Scotty, and I wish he was a darker shaded Chekov, but oh well. I am wondering if his white phaser was a snafu or a dirty trick. Everyone would agree, a first season casual Kirk would carry a white handled phaser, if was to represent the first few episodes of the series. Makes me wonder if putting it with Scotty was a way to sell Scotty, who we all might have multiples, to get a white handled phaser! Who knows.

I wholeheartedly concur. Actually, I really want a Sulu/Chekov 2-pack with helm-nav. station. IMO, it would be a great compliment to the numerous captain's chairs that we've already gotten, and would look just fine as a stand alone diorama without the rest of the bridge. (Though a complete bridge would be preferable... if unrealistic)... who'm I kidding? there's not a snowball's chance in hades of either one....

Then they could sell a Cage version with Number One and a recycled Spock and WNMHGB version with a Gary Mitchell and recycled Kirk ... they've already got a mold of those monitor thingies from the Pike captain's chair... see DST!! I can spend your money!! Listen to me!!! biggrin.gif

I much prefer the choice of Scotty. He's a much more prominent character to me, so re-releasing him makes Scotty sculpts cheaply available to make great Scotty customs. Not so with Checkov to me.

Can somebody pop off the new KIRK head and throw it on the classic yellow(ish) tunic so we can see how it looks.... We are all gonna do it but some of us are waiting on New Force.

-Thanks

Once I get an extra one I do plan to do that.
I put the new one next to the amok time Kirk last night and WOW. I didn't realize what a difference there would be but the new Kirk sculpt is amazing. It could be DST's best Star Trek work yet.

Got mine today!

The romulan exceeds my expectations!

Paint apps look great, and he has 20 POA, waist moves, thigh and boot cuts! and a really great sculpt!

Also, the "sash" removes very easily, and has a simple tab and notch on the back to hold it on. It fits really nice when on and theres very little worry that it will fall off!

Finally, heres the answer to if kirk can sit properly! Yes!

Here are some digi snappies!

Got mine in today as well! Really great job on DST's part. I hope they will be able to continue to bring us figures in some shape or form. I'd really have loved to get Chapel, Rand, The Salt Vampire and Mark Lenard Romulan. These also remind me, how eager I was to get those 3 3/4" TOS figures they worked on with Playmates! Maybe sales of these will help to bring back all these plans and more in an even stronger line up for DST and Playmates in 2012.

Man, I'm glad TRU dropped out and forced DST to take this route. That Romulan looks awesome, so glad that we don't have to constantly hit up TRU stores for the sparse chance of finding a single one.

As much as I'm a 24th Century Trekker first and foremost...if all DST had to offer in 2011 for figures was Rand, Chapel, and the Salt Vampire...I'd be okay with that.

Aside from bugging them like crazy...is there anything else we could do to make those figures happen? Would it be better to harass retailers like BBTS or NFC? Get them to believe that we want these toys? Hmm...
