I think that technically means DST finally met a delivery date??!!

Sort of...seeing as these were supposed to be released, what, last year? But as far as meeting the newly revised release date...yes, I think it does. I am excited to get my Romulan. Didn't bother with any of the others. If there is a "new sculpt" Kirk floating around at a REALLY good price, I might go for it...but otherwise I have way too many Kirk's as it is. I think I've filled my quota, new sculpt or no.

AWESOME news! Although it's probably the swan song for single carded DST Trek releases, I for one can't wait to get them. Interesting to see that the case has 3 Kirk, 2 Romulan, and 1 Scotty. I wonder if the cases through comic shops have the same? If so, that's excellent news as my 2 cases will yield exactly what I wanted!

I imagine (hope) that when they planned this line back in the day for TRU they knew that Kirk would be popular because he's Kirk and it's a new sculpt, the Romulan would be popular because he's actually a new character, and that Scotty would sell best to people new to the line or custom folks looking for army builders and/or completists.

Still would like to have seen them trust the aliens when they'd put a line together. Oh well.

Same here. I think I can wait for the Kirk/Romulan 2-pack to arrive in September (if they can hold that release date), then ship the pile o loot. Nothing else I've ordered there will be in stock for awhile -- E-E -> January at best, everything else is at least a year or more away.

Very happy to get a notification from Big Bad Toy Store. I remember when I first heard about this wave and was excited for its release. I think it was delayed on the brink of release at least three times and each cancellation was devastating for me as I really, really hoped and expected it to come out each time. Finally, I decided to stop caring and pre-ordered Kirk with the expectation that it probably won't ever come out in order to spare myself further disappointment. It was only when I stopped getting worked up about it that it finally pulled through. biggrin.gif

NFC usually gets even packed cases because of the quantity and way they re-sell... everyone else gets the the standard which are 3 Kirk, 2 Romulan and 1 Scotty. I think thats the reason you saw BBTS selling kirks and romulans as singles, but not Scotty.

This is my thought as well, seeing as how Entertainment Earth has the 3-2-1 case. BBTS handling that way really backs it up too. I'm hopeful that is the case my shop gets, as I don't need all those extra Scotts....

The Romulan looked really good at SDCC so I think i'll get it when it's released over here in the UK - I did cave after reading Sallah's reviews actually and also listening to many here and got the TOS re-releases in those two packs, so I won't be getting Scotty, they were at a decent price and I must admit they are really nicely done, my old AA ones got sold when I moved house but since then I made space. I also got Kang, what a great looking figure! love it, the only downer on these figures is can anyone tell me why they used McCoy's rubber shirt on Kirk?? Seems like a really odd choice so this might persuade me to get the TOS 5 Kirk but I'm on the fence about it, I'll wait for Sallah to review him biggrin.gif

huh? Not sure what your talking about here? Do you mean the they used a different shirt on the re-releases?

Anyhow, BBTS has shipped my order too. Got two sets... and an extra romulan! I wanted the Scotty's for Customs, so I'm psyched about that. Also if the head sculpt is the same we saw at SDCC, then I think I'll do a head swap on a yellow shirt Kirk too! then I have an entire Legion of Centurions!

I'm excited for these!

Who ever gets them 1st be sure to post some pictures!

Sorry, I mean the 2 pack Kirk with Uhura - this is why I'm considering getting the Wave 5 Kirk since that seemed to use a totally new torso?

The Romulan does look really nice, Is he meant to be the centurion on "The Balance of Terror"? I love the shiny helmet, never understood why they didn't use the helmets in TNG - I really like the TOS Romulans.

OK. I got mine today and to my surprise Kirk has a NEW SCULPTED HARD TORSO!!! No rubber shirt. The face is awesome. This is easily my new favorite Kirk.
comes with phaser, communicator, and Saurian Brandy

The Romulan is a very nice figure and I am glad I got two of them.
Comes with Disrupter and gloved hands

Scotty is a re do of the original. The only cool think about him is he comes with a white handled phaser.
Comes with Phaser and Communicator.

BEST KIRK EVER. I must have another.

Nice! thanks for sharing JMW! so does the kirk actually rotate at the waist?

I like the white handled phaser! neat! DST should have done more of that earlier!

Kirks waist does not rotate. It is like the one from the amok time 2 pack.

Wow! That Kirk is AMAZING! Romulan rocks too... It's sad to see the potential in these figures for future offerings that will probably never happen...

Ah well. At least they are going out with some winners!
